Odyssey is accelerating the clean energy transition in emerging markets

Emily brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in distributed renewable energy. She previously served as the founding Chief Revenue Officer of Frontier Power, SunEdison’s microgrid development subsidiary. Emily holds an MBA from Stanford Business School, an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School (MPA), and a BA from Brown University.

Piyush is a seasoned climate tech executive with over 20 years of experience across private equity, finance, and distributed energy. He was previously CEO of Simpa Networks, a solar financing company acquired by ENGIE. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Kleinwort Benson Private Equity, Deloitte, and KPMG. Piyush is a Chartered Accountant with an MBA from London Business School.

Jay has 20+ years of experience in global infrastructure and capital markets, with prior roles at IFC, Macquarie, Credit Suisse, and UBS. Most recently, he served as Chief Investment Officer at DC Green Bank, where he built investment processes and underwriting frameworks. He is a CFA charterholder and holds an MA from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and a B.B.A. from University of Michigan, Ross School of Business.

Susan leads Odyssey’s work with governments, donors, and concessional finance partners. She has 15 years of experience in energy and development finance, with leadership roles at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and USAID’s Power Africa program. She specializes in blended finance and scaling impact across emerging markets.

Maxime oversees all commercial sales, growth, go-to-market, and account management functions. He brings over a decade of experience in the Sub-Saharan African solar industry and previously led the commercial portfolio at Emergent Energy, a leading solar developer. Maxime is currently focused on scaling Odyssey’s procurement platform across global markets.

Caren brings over 20 years of finance and operations leadership across more than 30 emerging markets. She has served as CFO and COO for global retail, banking, and fintechs including Standard Chartered, FINCA, and Copia. At Odyssey, she leads treasury ops, FP&A, investor relations, SPV management, tax strategy, reporting, and compliance. Caren is a Chartered Management Accountant.

Olly drives product vision, strategy, and tech development at Odyssey. With 15 years of experience in product delivery, he has led engineering and product teams at growth-stage startups across Europe and the US. He owns the product roadmap and leads cross-functional development to scale Odyssey’s tech platform.

Sanjeev leads Odyssey’s risk framework and credit underwriting. He brings over 15 years of experience in credit risk across African markets, including roles at Stanbic, Standard Bank, Absa, and Nedbank. He holds a Master’s in Electronic Engineering (AI specialization) and a Master of Business Leadership from the University of South Africa.

Elissa leads marketing and people operations at Odyssey, driving growth through social media strategy, global partnerships, and conference presence. Elissa previously worked in people operations at Google and held senior Growth and Partnerships roles at two early-stage startups. She holds an MS from Stanford Business School.
