We are excited to announce the Expression of Interest for Qualified Companies for Solar Based Electricity for Irrigation and Agribusinesses in Sudan. This opportunity is open for all companies for 3 weeks, closing on September 12, 2025. Please note that the first funding round will prioritize irrigation projects to align with the urgent needs of the agriculture sector in Sudan. Components 2 and 3 of the program are currently open for applications, with Component 1 to follow at a later date. Below you will find a summary of the background of the ASCENT Sudan programme, which will be implemented using the Results Based Financing (RBF) mechanism. This mechanism provides grants to incentivize the private sector in providing energy and digital services, based on independent verification of agreed outcomes.
