Five grantees awarded financing through Odyssey’s Powering Health Platform.
Five mini-grid developers have been selected for financing as part of the Innovative Project and Financing Solutions for Powering Health program, managed through Odyssey’s Powering Health Platform. The programme, funded by the Shell Foundation, aims to test and measure innovative financing mechanisms that can help scale the electrification of health clinics across sub-Saharan Africa. The projects implemented by the grantees will help identify, establish and communicate best practices and data regarding which types of concessionary finance are best suited to ensure the long-term sustainability of health electrification projects.
Odyssey’s Powering Health Platform is an initiative supported by the Rockefeller Foundation and the Shell Foundation to accelerate health electrification in sub-Saharan Africa by harnessing the Odyssey platform’s advanced software and data tools for distributed energy projects.
