NEP Commissions its First Mini-Grid: A big milestone for Odyssey & our partners at REA and the World Bank
December 7th marked a major milestone for the mini-grid sector in Nigeria: the first mini-grid funded by the Nigeria Electrification Project (NEP) Performance-Based Grant program was commissioned — one of the fastest program implementations to date. Deployed by PowerGen Renewable Energy Nigeria, the mini-grid is bringing power to an expected 3,000 people in Rokota, a community in Nigeria’s Niger state.
