Odyssey is a 2020 Keeling Curve Prize winner!
It is an honor to have been recognized as a Keeling Curve Prize winner in Finance among so many amazing organizations! We are energized in our mission to transform the energy access sector with Odyssey’s data-driven platform for developing, financing, and monitoring distributed energy projects.
The prize recognises Odyssey’s contribution in mitigating global warming by facilitating the development of renewable mini-grid and solar home system projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. The Keeling Curve Prize, as a program of the Global Warming Mitigation Project (GWMP), awards $250,000 to ten revolutionary climate solutions across five categories: Capture & Utilisation, Energy, Finance, Social & Cultural Pathways, and Transportation & Mobility. The Keeling Curve Prize is named after Dr. Charles David Keeling’s measurements of the rising atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere for the last 60 years. This research provided some of the first evidence of rapidly rising CO2 levels.
