Chill & Connect Maputo: A night of conversations, collaboration & clean energy progress

Last week’s Chill & Connect Networking Event in Maputo brought together an inspiring community of installers, developers, partners, and innovators committed to advancing distributed renewable energy across Mozambique. This event was designed for connection, and thanks to every attendee, it delivered exactly that.

‍A growing clean-energy landscape powered by local actors

Mozambique is experiencing a remarkable rise in clean-energy activity, and the energy sector professionals who joined the event are at the center of it.

From developers deploying systems in remote communities, to financiers seeking scalable solutions, to partners strengthening the national ecosystem, the conversations throughout the evening made one thing clear: the country is full of people ready to build, innovate and collaborate.

And Odyssey is proud to already be working alongside many of them.

Odyssey’s work across Mozambique

The event was also a chance to share what Odyssey is supporting on the ground:

• Real-time monitoring of mini-grids, combined with staff training programs to strengthen long-term operations
• Digital tools for the Funae + Energia Program, facilitating application management, claims processing, and remote verification for solar home systems and clean cooking solutions 
• Support to ARENE through digital platforms that streamline techno-economic analysis, bidder management, and project tracking
• RBF claims processing with SNV to accelerate deployment of solar home systems
  
  

Odyssey has supported over 50 finance programs across Africa and globally. The Maputo event reinforced how ready local stakeholders are to drive clean-energy expansion at scale.
